The neon sign buzzes HOLLOW PINES — VACANCY, though the V has been dead since before you were born.
Abe left at eleven with a thermos and a look you didn't like. The rules are still taped behind the desk in his crooked handwriting.

It's 2:58 AM when the bell over the door jingles.
